A small pyroFx project to understand fire propagation with a mesh, called “Fire Circle”.
I’m gonna reveal the secret: the trick was to make appear a mesh, with houdini, which drives the simulation of the fire.
I used a second geometry, an animated plane, which enter in interaction with the circle, in a linear motion.
Then, I put all the interacted points in a group and I make appear the circle’s points in this group. As a result, and after a looong render, we have a fire propagation.
