A small FX scene made on Unreal Engine 4 with as objective to have a realistic burn barrel, with a beautiful smoke.
I used sprites (with multiple random parameters) and glowing shaders for the fire and the smoke. Then, I added particles systems for sparks. For the animation, I chose to use high parameters and speed to simulate a lively fire with a strong heat.
Finally, I needed two sequences so I edited them on premiere pro and made sound effect directly on Unreal Engine 4.
This scene and the one with the cube appearance were made for a technical test. I made these only on 2 days.
